Jon Drunkinelli
Jon's birthday party was a blast. Lots of drinking, a freakshow at the Palace of Wonders and Jon taking a header into the sidewalk. A few hours drinking with Jon apparently ends in his getting hurt.
Bowling and Beers = a dislocated toe.
Drinking at his neighborhood bar = Busted up face and 2 broken bones in his hand.
Yeah, good times.

Newsflash - Cat doesn't live in the office
So up until last week I was really convinced that one of our testers lived in the office. Everyday when I would get to work she would be here...every night, no matter if it was leaving at 6pm of midnight, she was here when I left.
So I had to get a picture of her empty cube on a Saturday afternoon when she wasn't here for proof that she did indeed live elsewhere.

I have been meaning to come back and update for a while...
I figured today would be as good a day as any.
Sooooo.. it is now crunch time at work. We are getting closer and closer to the date when our game is launched and the closer we get the more time you spend in the office. So what do i do with a few minutes off...i play around on the computer. Freakin nerdy.
Anyway, here is a video I put together from our company picnic this year at the National Zoo. We saw Tom's mom everywhere we went.
Ahhh fun.

The First Annual QA Secret Santa Party
So today we had our very first Secret Santa Party. We took a few hours, at the end of a long work week, to have some food and exchange gifts. Everyone got something today but some of the items were a real hit. There was Jamie's gift for Jenny:
There was Farinelli's Grilling Cookbook full of all kinds of meaty recipes for our resident vegan Jamie:
Steve was hooked up with a couple of bottles of the sauce because we all know he is a lush when he isn't in the office:
Then there were the really funny gifts. Luu once again wins out for something cool to put in his cube with his MalibLuu Witchhunter Barbie. Kudos to all the work Jenny put into making this gift. The Tome that explained the stats on the Pink Glasses and Earrings was priceless. Anything that helps Luu when we battle GOA can only be a good thing:
The other real winner, when it comes to creative gifts, goes to Crystal's gift to Rob. It would take far too long to explain all the reasons why this is such a funny gift. It is a mixture of a typo, a great question by Justin and Rob's obsession with sickeningly sweet cat pictures and videos. Great work Crystal:
The gift I got for Farinelli wasn't a real big shock (yeah, i know) since we had talked about getting a set of these several times. The Shocking Battle Tanks always looked fun but I had no real excuse to get a set into the office so now was my chance. I don't think anyone, including myself, was actually prepared for the HUGE shock those things could kick out. So, this first video is right after Jon opened the box and the battle was waged between Farinelli and James:
After we watched Jon's initial reaction we all had to take our turns with the shock. Angie's reaction was a good one:
Then we got Miguel to battle Farinelli. Now the whole thing with these shocking remotes is that they only shock on the metal parts that are on the tops and bottoms of the controllers. Watch as Jon immediately tries to cheat when he gets shocked and tries, unsuccessfully, to just hold onto the sides of the controller. Always trying to find the exploit:
And then Dawdy walked in. Just in time for his turn. Always fun to see the Boss squirm a bit:
